As the Greenhouse Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our garden center, overseeing everything from plant care and merchandising to ordering and seasonal displays. While you’ll report to our store leadership team, this role gives you autonomy and room to lead your area with pride.

What You’ll Do

Greenhouse Operations & Plant Care

• Oversee the daily care of all plants, including watering, pruning, fertilizing, and rotating stock.

• Identify plant health issues and implement care solutions to reduce loss.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming greenhouse space at all times.

Inventory, Ordering & Merchandising

• Monitor inventory levels of plants, soil, pottery, and related merchandise.

• Create and manage weekly and seasonal order recommendations based on customer trends and performance.

• Set and maintain attractive, shoppable displays with clear signage and product education.

Leadership, Management & Accountability (LMA – EOS)

• Lead seasonal staff or part-time team members assigned to the greenhouse.

• Train others in plant-care standards, merchandising, and guest engagement.

• Set weekly greenhouse goals and communicate with store leadership on progress.

Guest Experience & Sales Support

• Greet and assist customers with plant selection and care advice.

• Recommend additional products and promote sales and seasonal promotions.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to support greenhouse content, such as monthly reels or plant tips.

Qualifications

• Two years of greenhouse experience required.

• Previous experience in a garden center, greenhouse, or nursery strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of plant care, especially plants suited for South Carolina’s growing seasons.

• Strong attention to detail and merchandising sensibility.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day.

• Natural leadership skills with a customer-first mindset.

• Experience with retail inventory or POS systems is a plus.
